This program is insured by The Great American Insurance Company of Cincinnati, Ohio providing unexcelled service and financial security, with A.M. Best rating of "A" (Excellent).

Steadicam Program

The program is underwritten by a national insurance company, which has a Best’s Financial Rating of A (Excellent).  The program has been in existence for 10 + years and we currently have over 200 participants countrywide.  You must be a member of the Steadicam Operators Association / SOA for us to write a policy for you.

Equipment Coverage

The equipment policy is written on a full replacement cost basis (no deduction for depreciation at time of loss) and is worldwide in scope.  Please note this program also insures your equipment against Acts of Terrorism as respects the enactment of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002.  We offer three deductible options of $500, $1,000 or $2,500.

In addition to your scheduled equipment, we cover any equipment you lease or rent from others up to the value of your scheduled equipment or $100,000; whichever is less, at no additional charge.

We also offer rental expense reimbursement coverage for either a $5,000 or $10,000 limit as an option.  This coverage will reimburse your rental expense should a covered “loss” to equipment you own make it necessary to rent replacement equipment to continue your normal operations of the work in progress.  In conjunction with the rental expense reimbursement coverage, you also receive $5,000 for loss of use coverage should your rental agreement make you responsible for the rental company’s inability to rent the equipment.

General Liability Coverage

The general liability policy is a separately quoted policy from the equipment policy.  The basic general liability coverage provides a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence and a $2,000,000 aggregate limit of liability.  Higher limits are available.  This coverage will protect you from third party liability claims (bodily injury/property damage).

Workers’ Compensation

The workers’ compensation policy is also offered separately from the equipment and general liability policies.  Workers’ compensation coverage protects you and your employees in accordance with individual state requirements.

Long Term Care Insurance

What is Long Term Care?

It is the type of care received when someone needs assistance with daily living due to an accident, an illness or advancing age, either at home or in a facility.

Understanding Long Term Care.

Today 12.8 million people of all ages need a type of assistance know as Long Term Care (LTC). This means they need help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, continence and housekeeping. The need for care may arise out of illness, injury or advancing age. Almost 40% of those who need help with everyday activities are working age adults.

Today, more and more Americans are receiving home health care and hospice care as an alternative to nursing home care. In fact:

  • 80% of all Long Term Care is now provided outside a nursing home.
  • More than 22 million families currently provide informal, unpaid care for an elder parent or relative, this number has tripled in the past ten years.

How much does LTC cost?

Average cost in the Midwest varies from $40 to $50,000 per year. Costs are expected to triple in 20 years and will be over $200,000 a year in 30 years. Who will pay for Long Term Care?

  • Medicare and Medicare supplements will pay for approximately 8%. Benefits received are for a short period of time – less than four months.
  • Medicaid contributes approximately 45%. However, Medicaid requires assets be depleted to poverty levels in order to qualify for benefits, in most cases.
